Torben Schwarzer is a lawyer, in-house counsel, and Certified Specialist in International Business Law. As Senior Legal Counsel at a major global electronics corporation, he is responsible for the European business areas, particularly in consumer electronics, European logistics (transportation & warehousing), and corporate communications, with a special focus on the increasingly important field of "green advertising".

Prior to this, Torben Schwarzer gained in-house experience at a leading food industry company based in Hanover. He also has several years of experience in internationally oriented commercial law firms. Most recently, he worked as a counsel, where, in addition to his focus on litigation, he advised various companies and groups - particularly from the mechanical engineering and deep drilling sectors - on a wide range of legal issues as part of a flexible external legal department approach.

Torben Schwarzer is an expert in contract law and drafting, possessing a keen eye for detail. He effectively realizes the interests of the companies he represents, always considering the negotiating positions and specific circumstances of each situation. In addition to drafting contracts, he is prepared to negotiate directly with contracting parties to efficiently resolve contentious legal issues in their best interests.

Specializing in distribution law, Torben Schwarzer collaborates closely with distribution teams. His expertise encompasses the legally compliant structuring and administration of exclusive and selective distribution agreements, as well as legal support for the termination of such agreements. He also addresses antitrust law issues related to distribution structures. Furthermore, Torben Schwarzer conducts training sessions for company employees on sales practices and interactions with customers and competitors.

Torben Schwarzer advises corporate marketing departments on the legally compliant design of advertising and promotional campaigns, with a particular focus on the proper communication of "green claims" or sustainability promises. He clearly identifies potential risks, enabling the optimal legal protection of marketing strategies and mitigation of "greenwashing" risks.

As an experienced litigator, Torben Schwarzer represents clients in both court proceedings and arbitration. He assists clients during pre-litigation negotiations, exploring the scope for settlement and analyzing reciprocal viewpoints to provide concrete assessments.
