Dr. Wajma Mangal

Dr. Wajma Mangal is the founding partner and specialised in national and international litigation. Having worked for several years in a major international law firm, she has in-depth knowledge of complex litigation, advising companies on contractual and commercial law issues and assessing legal risks and strategies.

She represents her clients before state courts or arbitration tribunals. She also regularly acts as arbitrator in national and international arbitration proceedings. Her qualifications in the field of arbitration are emphasised by her inclusion in various national and international lists of arbitrators. Most recently, the Dubai Arbitration Court confirmed the inclusion of Dr Wajma Mangal in the official Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) Arbitrator List.

Dr. Wajma Mangal is also a certified commercial mediator.

Since June 2024, she has been a member of the Executive Board of the Hanseatic Bar Association Hamburg.

Expertise
Her considerable expertise lies in dealing with arbitration proceedings conducted under all leading institutional rules, such as the ICC, DIS, LCIA and SIAC Rules, as well as ad-hoc proceedings.

She specialises in commercial arbitration proceedings as well as energy, construction and contract law disputes. She has particular expertise in issues arising in connection with the termination of supply agreements, distribution agreements, commercial agency or authorised dealer agreements, in particular with regard to compensation claims and the right of termination.

Doctorate
Dr. Wajma Mangal completed her doctorate at the University of Hamburg with stages abroad in Dubai and New York. She completed her legal clerkship at a major international law firm in Hamburg and at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin. She has published various specialist publications and regularly gives lectures.

Regional Coordination DIS40-North
Dr. Wajma Mangal is engaged in the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS) and DIS40 (Initiative of Young Arbitrators). She is the regional coordinator of DIS40-North and promotes the exchange of experience between young arbitration practitioners.
